September 21st, ESDCTA Championships @ NJ Horse Park:  Twin Lake Acres qualifying riders will be competing in the championships.  Congratulations to Pyper Drozal, Hunter Smaltz, Kelly Smaltz, and Yarrow Wilkins for already achieving qualifying scores! 

August 23 ESDCTA Dressage Show at Bit-by-Bit:  The Twin Lake Acres Show Team will be competing at Bit-By-Bit.

LVDA @ Twin Lake Acres:  Twin Lake Acres was proud to host the LVDA dressage show at our beautiful facilities on August 10th.  The wonderful people from the LVDA did a great job running the show.  It was a fantastic day for horse and rider.

 Pony Camp:  Twin Lake Acres held its second year of Pony Camp from June through July.  Twin Lake Acres offered 3 weeks of basic camp where students learned basic grooming, how to saddle and bridle a pony or horse, horse management and safety skills and had a 1 hr group riding lesson.  Each day included crafts, games and hikes.  One week of advance camp was held where students learned beginner jumping.  They built on basic horse management skills including how to take vital signs, treating basic injuries, wrapping legs for riding, trailering and injuries.  Each day included a 1 hour group riding lesson, crafts, games and hikes. 

Trail Ride at Jacobsburg State Park:  Ten riders from Twin Lake Acres got together to ride at Jacobsburg.  It was a beautiful day and everyone had a great time. 

Video Night -- March 29th

Back by popular demand, Twin lake Acres had its second Video Day on March 29^th.  Students had the opportunity to have a dressage test video taped.  TLA had two viewing session the evening of the 29th.  The first session was for students under 21 at Kelly’s house.  They enjoyed pizza & sodas while watching the tests.  The second session was for students 21 and over at Kelly’s house.  They had a pot luck dinner while watching the tests.   See the photos in the Photo Album.

Snow Tubing at Blue Mountain 

Twin Lake Acres hosted a Snow Tubing/ BBQ in February at Blue Mt.  We had a great time of fun and food.  Thanks Dennis Krell for the evening out and Dennis Keyes for doing the grilling! 

  January 26th Video Night

Students of Twin Lake Acres got together on January 26 to get ready for the spring shows, while having some fun.  Participants had a dressage test or part of a lesson video taped, and then met at Kelly’s house for a pot luck dinner and to watch the videos.  Each participant received a copy of their video on DVD.
